DESCRIPTION:On 9 February 2026\, the third and final stakeholder workshop f
 or the project &ldquo\;Strengthening of the National Health Technology Ass
 essment (HTA) Framework in Greece&rdquo\; will be convened by the European
  Commission&rsquo\;s Reform and Investment Task Force (SG REFORM) through 
 its Technical Assistance and Information Exchange (TAIEX) instrument\, in 
 collaboration with the Ministry of Health of Greece\, WHO/Europe and the W
 HO Office on Quality of Care and Patient Safety in Athens.Taking place in 
 Athens\, the workshop will present the final versions of the updated metho
 ds and process guides. The guides were piloted during a national assessmen
 t of a new medicinal product\, with contributions from patient and clinica
 l experts. The workshop will provide an opportunity for peer learning from
  other leading HTA agencies from the WHO European Region including the Ita
 lian Medicines Agency (AIFA)\, the Italian National Agency for Regional He
 althcare Services (AGENAS) and the Portuguese National Institute of Pharma
 cy and Medicines (INFARMED). It will also initiate discussions on establis
 hing an HTA framework for medical devices and in vitro diagnostics in Gree
 ce.Throughout the project\, the revision of Greece&rsquo\;s HTA methods an
 d process guidance has been informed by continuous engagement with all rel
 evant stakeholders\, including patient representatives\, clinical experts\
 , industry partners and academics. Input gathered through earlier workshop
 s and technical consultations has helped ensure that the updated guidance 
 reflects a broad range of perspectives and practical experience. The updat
 ed national HTA framework for Greece is aligned with the European Union Re
 gulation (EU)&nbsp\;2021/2282 on HTA and draws on practices used across th
 e WHO European Region. Its implementation is supported by an updated legal
  framework and amendments to national policies and systems. The framework 
 aims to strengthen transparent\, consistent and evidence-informed decision
 -making within Greece&rsquo\;s health system.Meeting detailsThe meeting wi
